Cosmetic Dentistry Charlottesville VA
Our cosmetic dentistry combines esthetics with long-term durability and function. We use the highest quality dental materials and accredited dental laboratories to create smiles that look both beautiful and natural.
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic bonding is one of the more conservative treatment options for improving your smile. We use a resin material custom chosen for your mouth to change the shape, color, or size of your teeth. Bonding can be applied to just one tooth, or to several teeth, and can also be used to fix chips or to address open spaces between teeth.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is another conservative, very effective way to brighten your smile. We fabricate a custom splint for you to wear at home with a professional bleaching agent inside, and give you careful instructions for its use. We will monitor the color change with you to help decrease the temporary sensitivity that sometimes accompanies bleaching and to allow you to comfortably to achieve your desired results.
Porcelain Veneers
Another great option for dramatically improving a smile is veneers. Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain facings that are bonded to the front of teeth. The veneers that we use are custom-fabricated specifically for your teeth by esthetically driven laboratory technicians. We use veneers to correct discolored or misshapen teeth, close spaces between teeth, and repair chipped or worn teeth.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns can also be a great option for fixing decayed, broken, or discolored teeth. A dental crown is placed overtop of your tooth to hold it together and keep it protected. A crown is sometimes also placed over a dental implant. As with our veneers, our crowns are custom-made, using materials chosen specifically based on your teeth and bite, to ensure that when we are finished, your smile is both naturally beautiful and functional.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is fabricated by combining two or more crowns with a false tooth/teeth that sit in the spot of missing tooth/teeth. The crowns in a bridge are supported either by natural teeth, or by dental implants, and, like the individual crowns done at Lee Family Dentistry, are both beautiful and functional.
